Custom Storage Solution for Tranen Revegetation Systems.

Tranen Revegetation Systems, located in Bayswater WA, required a customised storage solution to house a large variety of native seeds. The system had to provide adequate storage in a small space and withstand cold temperatures.

Tranen Revegetation Systems provide a range of services in bushland and native seed management. As part of its service, they also maintain a seed bank for storage of its customers’ seeds under controlled temperature and humidity conditions.

Having recently moved from their premises in Landsdale to Bayswater, Tranen Revegetation Systems required a storage solution to effectively house seeds for its client. Due to a confined space of approximately 10 x 6 square metres, the client wanted to optimise the height of the building. Our solution was 5 bays of Uni-Span® - Longspan Shelving with 8 mesh deck shelves per bay.

Due to a temperature of -5 degrees and a relative humidity of 20 per cent, mesh shelves were used to provide adequate airflow. For a cool room to operate effectively, air must be able to circulate as blocking airflow can lead to warm areas. Furthermore, each shelf has been designed to store 300kg of product. Tranen Revegetation Systems were happy with the result, opting to further enhance storage by having an additional run of Longspan Shelving installed at a later date.

APC’s Uni-Span® - Longspan Shelving is a durable shelving system and can be easily adapted to suit a wide range of storage requirements. It was an excellent fit for Tranen Revegetation Systems who store a lot of product in storage containers. The system can accommodate not only the size of the containers but the weight of each.
