It's never a dull day here at APC Group, and what a year its's been! Take a look back on 2019 with us.
We took a look at our project for Australia's first 'rapid build' prison built in Wellington, NSW. APC was selected as the supplier of various commercial and industrial storage solutions. APC worked closely with stakeholders to ensure the installation was completed within an 8-week timeframe.
In February, we took a look at our racking solution for Aussie Natural Spring Water. The business required a high-density storage solution to replace its existing Selective Racking to store an additional 1500 pallets of bottled water. APC’s solution involved the manufacture and installation of a Drive-In Racking system capable of storing more than 2000 pallets.
In March, APC celebrated International Women’s day by profiling APC’s Project Coordinator Pooja Bansal and Design and Estimator Sanaz Khajehdehi. APC is incredibly fortunate to have a team of very dedicated women who work in varied roles throughout the company.
In April, we took a look at our storage solution for Illawarra Smallgoods. With a storage space of just 420 square metres, the client required a high-density storage solution capable of holding 476 pallets. Our solution was a Satellite Racking System, a semi-automated, deep lane pallet storage retrieval system combining high - density storage with improved pallet and pick face access.
On May 6, The Minister for Industry, Science and Technology Karen Andrews imposed anti-dumping duties on beams, uprights and braces exported to Australia from China and Malaysia. To ramp up local manufacturing, APC invested in new equipment and facilities.
In June, we took a look at ways to optimise your warehouse if space is limited and offered some ideas to consider, including updating your racking to a more innovative and space-saving solution.
Tranen Revegetation Systems required a customised storage solution to house a large variety of native seeds. The system had to provide adequate storage in a small space and withstand cold temperatures. Due to a confined space of approximately 10 x 6 square metres, the client wanted to optimise the height of the building. Our solution was 5 bays of Uni-Span® - Longspan Shelving with 8 mesh deck shelves per bay.
In August, we took a look back at our project for Pinnacle Safety and Training who specialise in safety training and other related services. Having worked with the client closely for the development and installation of purpose-built structures in other locations, APC was approached for the design and manufacture of two custom-built steel structures for Pinnacle’s new facility. Our in-house engineering team worked closely with the client to design and build functional structures to accommodate height, safety and confined entry training.
In September, we took a look at how APC Group has grown from a company specialising in pallet racking and cages to engineering large-scale structures to accommodate even the most complex of automated systems.
With the holiday season creeping up on us, APC shared its tips to help you prepare your warehouse for the holiday rush while maintaining a safe workplace.
APC shared its tips for selecting an appropriate warehouse racking system to maximise and get the most out of your space.
In December, APC warned against overloading your pallet racking system if you are outgrowing your existing setup or have too many pallets of stock. We recommend opting for other alternatives such as reconfiguring your warehouse or investing in a customised high-density storage system.
